Whats Better Wired Or Wireless Speakers

Wireless speakers will be the next must-have gadgets in consumer electronics nowadays. They allow a degree of freedom and convenience that more than justifies the higher expense, that is not a lot to begin with and, again, more than offset by what they are going to do for your home theater environment.

Wireless speakers allow for the discrete, directional surround sound favored by modern media, helping to further blur the difference between the virtual and the real. And with each passing quarter, prices come down as new developments come to the market, so it’s always a good time to get the best you can afford!

The main advantage of wireless speakers is the fact that they make surround sound easy to realize. Forget about figuring out how to route wires or cables around a room, or even between rooms (and different floors!) – just place the speaker wherever you want it, on a shelf, or a chair, or on the floor in an out-of-the-way spot.

And since they are wireless, they’re eminently convenient and could be easily shared; say you have got a nice audio set-up inside your living room, for the home theater, however, you would also like your gaming consoles, in the bedroom, to have the same quality of high quality immersive audio.

Rather then purchasing a duplicate system only for gaming, you could, using the right kind of equipment, just move your speakers over from one room to the other: problem solved!

Unfortunately, one technical hurdle at this time is that [wireless speakers] can suffer from interference under certain conditions – a lot more than should be the case, frankly. The best wireless audio, while very good for casual duties like casual listening, will be hard pressed to rival that of their “dedicated” wired counterparts. Wireless systems, in comparison, work through radio waves or, much more rarely, infrared signals.
